Part 2: The First Night of One’s Life
A bandicoot was dropped onto hard cement, and the first thing she saw was a flash of armor, and then it disappeared.
She struggled to her feet and shook her head.
“What? Where am I?” she saw that she already had clothes on.
This bandicoot was small, and she had brown-yellow soft fur. Her hair was very wavy, with dark chocolate locks. Her long tail was the same color as her hair, but unusually shiny for fur.
She touched her head all over, and felt a hard transparent material in front of her eyes. Curiously, she took it off, and saw everything blurred.
This bandicoot didn’t like it, so she put them back on. Her shirt was deep purple with stars and a silver moon on it, and her pants were lavender.
She had no idea where she came from, or what happened to her. The bandicoot scurried endlessly by the light of the crescent releasing dim silver light to see by.
Tripping over a tree root, her knee got caught on a tiny but strong branch. Here was where she felt a jolt of frustration and confusion.
A bush rustled.
The bandicoot’s ears twitched and she slowly turned around. Then, without making a single sound, she stalked the bush, but before she had the chance to see what or who it was, it darted off into the trees.
Having the sharp eyes a bandicoot has, all she noticed was a pair of medium ears and dark orange fur.
What is my purpose in life? she questioned herself.
Still, after all of that running, needless to say, she was beat. The little bandicoot curled up, wondering all the while.
To be continued…
